My name is Allen Gilhooly and I provide a General/Crisis Counselling service in Collooney, Co. Sligo.
Originally from Leitrim I moved to Dublin and worked there for a number of years in schools and Community & Family projects. I returned to the Northwest in 2010 as a Mental Health Consultant for Colleges, Schools, Mental Health Associations, Community Projects etc. I also run an affordable General Counselling Service which caters for all ages in the northwest, located in Collooney, County Sligo.
My approach is common sensical and effective with a focus to help you get to where you want to be at whatever pace feels comfortable to you. I use various approaches such as
My belief is that you have the ability to sort out whatever problems / difficulties in your life. Whilst we have family and friends to rely on, sometimes we are uncomfortable seeking help from these relationships.
Experienced and trained people like myself can help by listening, supporting and most importantly without judging.
